The Guest Faculty for 2014
Pianist, Professor Emeritus Herta Werner has taught and coached song and oratorio repertoire at the Hamburg Hochschule für Musik since 1969 serving as guest professor in Nagoya Japan and Assistant Director of the Belgium Ghent Musik Festival. She has performed intensively as a song accompanist and chamber musician throughout Europe, Israel, Russia, and Japan playing for such renown singers as Christa Ludwig.
An experienced and versatile concert artist hailed as one of “the finest dramatic concert singers active today, Baritone David Kravitz is increasingly in demand on operatic and concert stages. Critics have praised his “large, multi-layered” and “sumptuously flexible” voice. His 2013-14 season begins at Odyssey Opera for Paolo Orsini in Wagner’s Rienzi, and continues at Boston Lyric Opera for The Speaker in The Magic Flute, and at Boston Musica Viva for Thea Musgrave’s The Mocking-Bird. more David Kravitz

Daniel Cummings, a conductor, composer and pianist. He has conducted the world famous Boston Brass, and performances of Gianni Schicchi, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more. He has served on the faculties of the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, where he taught Musical Theatre and Collaborative Vocal Piano. As a pianist, Daniel is active in chamber music and performs frequently in instrumental and vocal recitals. Cummings is a pianist with the New Mexico Symphonic Chorus, teaches piano and composition at the New Mexico School of Music. more Daniel Cummings
Keri Rusthoi is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where she is also a member of the Music Faculty. She received additional training from The Manhattan School of Music, earned a master’s degree from The University of New Mexico, and completed undergraduate work at The Colorado College. Ms Rusthoi studied with the eminent Jean Kraft (Metropolitan Opera) and is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Emerald City Opera in Steamboat Springs. more Keri Rusthoi Keri Rusthoi will be the Junior Division Preliminary Judge.
